Economic Development

The Economic Development Division of the Community Development Department is the department's newest division with staff support by existing department staff.

The division is primarily responsible for encouraging economic growth and development in Merrimack by attracting new commercial and industrial development and business retention.

The primary focus of the division is to provide site selection and relocation information and assistance, to work with relevant boards, departments and divisions to coordinate the development review, approval and permitting processes, to foster a positive regulatory environment and to encourage the maintenance of a strong infrastructure base.
