The Chamber has over 200 businesses. It provides relocation assistance and information for business inquiries. Also offers networking opportunities to connect the business community as well as communicates legislative issues.
New Hampshire Department of Economic Development - (DRED)
The Department of Resources and Economic Development was established by the General Court of New Hampshire under Chapter 223 of the laws of 1961 and consists of four divisions: Forest and Lands, Parks and Recreation, Travel and Tourism Development, and Economic Development.
Rockingham Economic Development Corporation (REDC)
REDC is a non-profit regional economic development corporation located in Southern NH. REDC serves new, growing and challenged businesses within our service territory. Helping businesses find a lending partner, finance an expansion, or needed assistance with restructuring.
Nashua Regional Planning Commission - (NRPC)
The Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) is one of nine New Hampshire regional planning commissions, created by the State Legislature in 1970. The Commission consists of an appointed voluntary board of Commissioners from its member communities, as well as a professional planning staff. Providing its 13 member communities with comprehensive solutions to local environmental, land use, transportation, and regional planning issues as well as cutting edge mapping and data services.
Located in Manchester, the incubator is a joint venture between the city of Manchester and the University of Southern New Hampshire. Its focus is on providing a supportive entrepreneurial environment that stimulates the growth of businesses. It provides entrepreneurs with affordable office space and technical assistance.
DWC houses the Nashua regional office of the SBDC. It runs a number of programs including, one-on-one counseling, enterprise forums, and other workshops and clinics. The center is focused on growing existing business as opposed to helping micro, start-up companies.
Unlike the SBDC, Microcredit New Hampshire's target audience is specifically those who are interested in starting a business, giving them access to free information workshops, start-up grants, and business training. Those who pay for the services gain access to peer review groups. Microcredit New Hampshire is staffed with six regional managers, one of whom is responsible for a region that includes Nashua and Manchester.
Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP-NH)
Run out of a center in Concord, the New Hampshire Procurement Technical Assistance Program helps New Hampshire businesses apply for federal contracts, including SBIR and STTR awards.
New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP)
Targets small and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) with technical assistance to solve the problems of the contemporary manufacturing environment by facilitating interaction between industry, government and academia. Included among services are Business Planning and Enterprise Development; Product Development; Supply Chain Development; Lean Manufacturing & Process Improvement; Quality Improvement Assurance; Information Technology Management, and International Business Development.
New Hampshire High Technology Council and EPSCOR
The High Technology Council is an association of hi-tech businesses, with many members from Merrimack. The NHHTC was established to bring together representatives from the private and public sectors to establish and maintain financial, technical, management, legislative and educational support programs that encourage innovative research and technology-based industrial development in New Hampshire. In 2007-2008 the Council is launching a hi-tech branding effort in cooperation with the state's Department of Resources and Economic Development. With its hi-tech concentration, there may be opportunities for Merrimack to benefit. Town hi-tech business may also benefit from the National Science Foundation's Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). EPSCoR aids researchers and institutions in securing federal R&D funding, and is managed at the state level by a planning group drawn from business, government, and academia. Many of the industries and federal R&D targeted are core strengths in the Nashua-Merrimack-Manchester corridor.
Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council
ITRC is a state-led coalition providing benefits to state regulators and technology developers, vendors, and users to achieve regulatory acceptance of environmental technologies. ITRC develops guidance documents and training courses to meet the needs of both regulators and environmental consultants in an effort to cut approval time and find creative ways to reduce regulatory barriers to new environmental technologies.
Software Association of New Hampshire (SwANH)
The Software Association of New Hampshire (SwANH) promotes and supports the software and information technology industries throughout New Hampshire. SwANH sponsors networking events, educational programs through its SIGs and affiliates, and discount programs that provide members with opportunities to gain information, connect with resources, grow their businesses, and succeed.
