On February 2, 2012 Merrimack Police responded to a local residence for the report of a domestic situation.
Upon investigation it was determined that a female had been assaulted during an altercation with the juvenile. It was alleged that the Juvenile male had assaulted his mother during the argument, and held her down on the floor of the residence. The juvenile had fled the residence and was located and arrested a short time later. The juvenile was transported to the police station, processed and then brought to the Merrimack Court for a hearing. The juvenile was later released into the custody of the state.

On February 3, 2012 a member of the Merrimack Police Department stopped a motor vehicle on the Daniel Webster Highway for a motor vehicle violation. The officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was identified as Michael Elrick. During the initial contact with the operator, the officer smelled what he believed to be the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle and conducted an investigation which included a K9 sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. After further investigation, a controlled substance, specifically marijuana, was located in the interior of the vehicle. Elrick was placed under arrest and transported to the Merrimack Police Department.
Elrick was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack District Court on February 7, 2012 to answer to two charges, possession of marijuana and transportation of a controlled substance.
