Chief Mark E. Doyle
 

Chief Mark Doyle has been serving the citizens of Merrimack since August 1985. He was promoted from the rank of Deputy Chief  to Chief in April 2011.


Police Academy: 73rd

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration / Leadership
  • Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education


Special Duties:

  • Commander - Operations (Criminal Investigations & Patrol)
  • Accident Investigation Team - Commander
  • Department Network / IT Administrator

  • Outstanding Graduating Officer Award – 73rd Police Academy


Chief Doyle has specialized training in Accident Investigation, is a PR-24 Police Baton Instructor as well as an OC Defensive Spray Instructor. He has commanded the Accident Investigation Team, Motorcycle Unit and the Honor Guard Unit. He has also served the community as the Department’s Prosecutor and the Commander of the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Chief Doyle resides in Merrimack with his wife, Mary and their 3 children.
