Officer John Demyanovich

Officer John Demyanovich has been serving the citizens of Merrimack on a part-time basis since April 2002. He currently holds the rank of Special Officer.

Police Academy: 230th Part Time Academy

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Emergency Medical Systems Management
• Masters of Business Administration

Officer Demyanovich was hired as a Firefighter / Paramedic by Merrimack Fire Rescue in 2000. He was also interested in Law Enforcement and was a future goal. He learned of a class in college that he wanted to attend, but it needed the sponsorship of a police department. The Merrimack Police Department gave him that chance in 2001 where he attended and became certified in CONTOMS (Counter Narcotics and Terrorism Operations:Medical Support). In 2002 Officer Demyanovich was hired as a part-time police officer.

Officer Demyanovich has many interests. He is an avid skydiver and has jumped in 6 states. During the winter, he snowboards, plays indoor soccer and visits his mother, who teaches at Merrimack High School. When the snow melts, the motorcycle comes out and he enjoys playing kickball. He trys to take a trip to a foreign country each year as he enjoys traveling. Officer Demyanovich enjoys watching the Red Sox, Monarchs and Patriots games. He is at the gym every week.
