Officer Appraisal Program

In keeping with the philosophy of the Merrimack Police Department, which is " Service to the Community" & "Commitment to Excellence", supervisory officers conduct periodic evaluations on the level of service of our officers.

In order for any organization to determine whether it is providing the level of proffesional service , feedback from sutomers is essential. With that as a basis, every six weeks Sergeants or Lieutenants from the department will extract from the files calls for service that our officers handled. They will contact the individual making the request and ask several questions relating to the level of service which was recieved. For example, was the officer polite? Was the dispatcher helful? Was there anything else thatyou thought that should have been done but was not?

Answers to these questions direcltly affect the level of service that is expected from every member of our department.
