Commission
At the Annual Town Meeting on March 14, 2000, the people of Merrimack voted to establish the Merrimack Heritage Commission to preserve the town’s historic resources for future generations.
RSA 674:44-a Heritage Commission. A heritage commission may be established in accordance with RSA 673 for the proper recognition, use, and protection of resources, tangible or intangible, primarily man-made, that are valued for their historic, cultural, aesthetic, or community significance within their natural, built, or cultural contexts.
Merrimack Heritage Commission Mission Statement: The Merrimack Heritage Commission shall properly recognize, protect and promote the historic and aesthetic resources that are significant to the community be they natural, built, or cultural in context.
NOTE: Currently, there are openings for 1 Commissioner and 3 Alternates
