Full-time Employee Benefits
Benefits are offered to full-time employees. The level of benefit offered depends upon employee group and/or Collective Bargaining Agreement. In addition to the non-union employee group, we have the following 6 Unions that represent different employee groups:

Health Plan
Premium paid 100% by employer (S, 2-Pers, Family) - Access Blue New England Site of Service Plan - $20 Office, $40 Specialist, 1K/3K Deductible, 30-day RX $10/$20/$45, 90-day RX $10/$20/$45
Flexible Benefits Plan
Premium Conversion for dental premium (pay employee portion of dental premium before taxes), Health Insurance Cash Opt-Out, and FSA up to $2,000 for Non-Union, AFSCME 3657, NEPBA 12, & NEPBA 112

- Class 2 - not currently used
- Class 3 - Non-union: 70% up to $2,029/week
- Class 4 - Teamsters 633: 60% with no cap/week
New Hampshire Retirement System
All full-time employees are required to participate.
All full-time employees are enrolled in the New Hampshire Retirement System with a mandatory pre-tax payroll deduction each week of 7% of their gross income (11.55% for Group II Police employees and 11.8% for Group II Fire employees). The Town is required to make contributions to NHRS for each full-time employee. The contribution rate varies depending upon which Group the employee falls under as follows:

Mission Square Retirement
There are two options for supplemental retirement savings offered and managed by MissionSquare (formerly ICMA-RC). Employees can make contributions through payroll deduction for both the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan & the Roth IRA.
College Tuition Reimbursement

Paid Leave
Paid leave varies by employee group, but includes sick, vacation, personal leave, & bereavement. For paid leave details, please click here to find the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement or Personnel Policy Manual.
Sick Leave Buy-back
All employee groups currently qualify for sick leave buy-back. Generally, each July the Town pays for any hours over a certain limit at the rate of 50% or 66% of the employee's rate of pay times the number of hours over the limit.
Supplemental Benefits - 100% Employee paid
Long-term Disability
60% of base wage up to $5,000/month. - All employee groups are eligible.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Employees can apply for up to $150,000 for themselves and up to half of their election for spouse coverage - All employee groups are eligible.
