F.E. Everett Turnpike Widening Project & Bridge Work Information
NH DOT Presentation during the March 12th Town Council meeting
NH Department of Transportation (DOT) has begun work on both the Baboosic Lake Road and the Wire Road Bridges going over the F.E. Everett Turnpike (FEET). Both bridges are being replaced as part of the NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT) FEET widening project. More Information on the project can be found at: https://www.dot.nh.gov/projects-plans-and-programs/project-center/nashua-merrimack-bedford-13761
The tree cutting occurring on Baboosic Lake Road is part of the NHDOT widening project. NHDOT will construct a temporary bridge south of the existing bridge. Traffic will be re-routed to the new temporary bridge while they take down the old bridge and replace it with a new one crossing the FEET.
The Wire Road Bridge will remain in place, traffic will continue to cross as they presently do. The new bridge will be constructed to the north of the existing bridge. Wire Road will then be realigned to the new bridge and the old bridge will be removed.
