Assessing Department

The Assessing Department would like to introduce our Assistant Assessor Isaiah Koranda.  Isaiah will be out conducting exterior inspections and verifying data.  Due to the current COVID-19 concerns he will only be verifying data at the door with property owners - no interior inspections at this time.

The primary function of the Assessing Department is to ensure that all properties within the Town of Merrimack are assessed fairly and equitably in accordance with the New Hampshire State Statutes governing taxation.

Tax Rate $24.06 (2020)   Equalized Ratio 78.4% (2020)

The Town of Merrimack will be conducting a town wide value update for 2021. The goal of this project will be to bring all property assessments to 100% of market value as of April 1, 2021.  Property record cards can be viewed here Assessing Database. Please review your Property Record Card and contact the Assessing department to report any errors.  We are currently not doing interior inspections due to the covid pandemic. Once this process begins again we will let you know. Our goal is to keep our staff and the taxpayer alike, safe and healthy.

The Assessing Department provides information and assistance to the general public.  Although this website enhances our ability to serve the needs of the public, it does not in any way replace the personal service we provide on a daily basis at our office.  Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to call (424-5136), email or stop by the Assessor's Office between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
