1. Acceptance of Donation for the Merrimack Police Department
Submitted by Deputy Chief Matthew Tarleton
The Town Council to consider the acceptance and expenditure of a donation in the amount of $9,732.51 from Merrimack Crimeline for the Merrimack Police Department to be used towards restoration work on the Department’s 1957 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery DARE car ($5,000) and for the “Mack” Comfort Dog Program ($4,732.51), pursuant to RSA 31-95-b and Charter Article 8-15.
2. Request for Research Access on Town Land – Tick Sampling for Lyme Disease Study
Submitted by Rivier University Dept. of Biology Asst. Professor Nimanthi Abeyrathna
The Town Council to consider a request for permission to conduct non-invasive field sampling at Horse Hill Nature Preserve between July and September 2025 for a research project for Rivier University.
3. Acceptance of Donations to Parks & Recreation Department Scholarship Funds
Submitted by Parks and Recreation Director Matthew Casparius
The Town Council to consider the acceptance and expenditure of a donation in the amount of $1,220 from Bear Christensen Trust through the Trustees of Trust Funds to the Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Welfare Department, to be towards the Camp Scholarship Fund ($620) and towards the After School Program Scholarship Fund ($600), pursuant to RSA 31:95-b and Charter Article 8-15.
4. Proposed Canoe / Kayak Rack Boat Storage Program – Wasserman Park
Submitted by Parks and Recreation Director Matthew Casparius
The Town Council to consider the proposed Canoe/Kayak Rack Boar Storage Program at Wasserman Park that provides Merrimack residents with the opportunity to rent seasonal storage space, eliminating the need to transport their boats daily.
5. Souhegan River Local Advisory Committee (SoRLAC) Nomination
Submitted by Town Council Chair Finlay Rothhaus and Vice Chair Nancy Harrington
The Town Council to consider the nomination to appoint Andrew Duane as a member on the Souhegan River Local Advisory Committee.
6. Request for Transfer of Funds for Welfare Department
Submitted by Town Manager Paul T. Micali
The Town Council to consider a request for the transfer of funds in the amount of $30,000 to cover the shortfall in the Welfare Department’s budget, pursuant to RSA 32:10 and Charter Article 8-8.
7. Merrimack Premium Outlets Settlement Discussion
Submitted by Town Manager Paul T. Micali
The Town Council to discuss the settlement agreement between the Town of Merrimack and Merrimack Premium Outlets.
