Town Manager’s Update
March 26, 2015

Announcements

  • Absentee ballots for the second session of the Town and School District Meeting (Voting Day) are available at the Town Clerk’s office.  Any voter who will be unable to appear at any time during the polling hours of 7 AM to 7 PM due to employment, or who will otherwise be absent from town on election day, or who is unable to go to the polls due to a physical disability or religious observance may vote by absentee ballot.

Voters must send a signed written request for an absentee ballot to the Town Clerk or download and complete an absentee ballot request form from the Town’s website in the Town Clerk’s section under Elections and Voting.  Absentee ballots can only be given or mailed directly to the person making the request.

Town Manager’s Report

  • The President of the United States has approved the disaster declaration for the January 26th snowstorm. We requested reimbursement for approximately $47,000 and are waiting for word from the State on when we will be receiving the reimbursement. We will be coming to the Council once the reimbursement is received for your approval and acceptance.

  • At the last meeting you approved up to $2,000 for electronic message boards to advertise for the April 14th election. I am pleased to let you know that Public Works has called surrounding communities and we will be borrowing their electronic message boards for free.
